Madeley Academy (formerly Madeley Court School) is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in Madeley in the English county of Shropshire.
Previously a community school administered by Telford and Wrekin Council, Madeley Court School converted to academy status in April 2007 and was renamed Madeley Academy. The school relocated from its previous site on Court Street to a new campus on Castlefields Way in 2009.
Madeley Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels and further BTECs. The school also has a specialism in sports.
Focused On Success
We are delighted to report another fantastic set of examination results this academic year with 71% students gaining grades 4+ (the old A*-C) in Mathematics and 70% in English.
Sixth Form results continue to be outstanding and again are our best ever, placing us in the top 4% of schools Nationally. The Academy has maintained its hugely impressive record on destinations with 100% of our students gaining their first choice of University.
As a child-centred Academy, we focus on children being happy, confident and independent learners. We continue to be a very popular choice of school for both parents and students across the whole of Telford.
Latest Ofsted Judgement
On 25 April 2017 the Academy was inspected by Ofsted and we were delighted to be judged Good with many Outstanding features.
