The opportunity to educate other people’s children is a privilege, bringing with it a huge responsibility to provide our young people with the best possible all-round education. We recognise that what parents and children want in a school is a safe, secure, friendly atmosphere where relationships between students are good, where teachers inspire students to achieve beyond what they believe is possible, and where the formal curriculum is supported by a range of artistic, creative and sporting extra-curricular activities. We accept that for learning to take place we must eliminate all potential causes of anxiety, which is why we do not tolerate any bullying, disruptive behaviour or derogatory language of any kind.
Bridgnorth Endowed is a school with traditional values. Discipline, courtesy and good manners underpin our drive for academic success for every student. High expectations, clear rules and strong pastoral support help maintain a calm, orderly and very caring community where children feel safe and secure. Our commitment to creating a positive learning environment was recognised in our most recent inspection, with Ofsted commenting that…“Pupils are proud of their school and achieve well. They show respect for staff and are keen to help and support one another.”
We are very proud of our academic results. For the second year in succession over 70% of our students have achieved a Grade C or better in their English and mathematics GCSEs. This is well above the national average and places Bridgnorth Endowed amongst the highest performing schools in Shropshire.
Life in our community is characterised by an ethos of warmth, respect and ambition. We offer a broad and exciting curriculum, inspired and passionate teachers and high standards of academic achievement. We have unapologetically high expectations of our students, but that is only because we believe that they have the potential to achieve great success.
Welcome to Bridgnorth Endowed. For prospective parents there is nothing better than visiting us in person. Please contact us on 01746 762103 to book a tour; we would be proud to show you our school.
